At Paddlesshop, our journey to create the Paddlesshop Planker Paddle began with a simple yet powerful idea from Ken: let’s create a paddle designed just for women, featuring bright colors and a comfortable grip that would help female players shine on the court.

The Challenge
We noticed a gap in the market. Many paddles seemed to be designed with a “one-size-fits-all” approach, often leaving players feeling like their equipment didn’t quite match their game or their personality. This insight fueled our determination to create something different – a paddle that not only performs at the highest level but also resonates with individual style.

The Collaboration
To bring our vision to life, we assembled a fantastic team of friends: Kelly, Dennis, and Michael. We shared ideas, drew from our collective experiences, and honed in on what truly matters in a pickleball paddle.

Through this collaboration, we pinpointed essential features that would make our paddle not only functional but also empowering. We wanted every woman who picked up our paddle to feel confident and capable.

We optimized the gen3 core on the market, which we internally call Fusion Honeycomb Core. The core design allows for refined control during delicate shots like dinks and drops while maintaining explosive power for aggressive plays.
